I am a music specialist and the music I write is original, tested on children and for the less confident teacher. My aim is to provide you with everything you need to fulfil Topic requirements and those of the National Curriculum (without having to prepare anything.) I provide Power Points/videos and give you mp3s and lyrics. Notation is sometimes given. The instrumental parts are dead easy!

One video shows how a maraca can be played. The second shows a maestro playing the maracas. Children are encouraged to explore the sounds a maraca can make. They are asked to make a simple presentation with their maraca and join in with a Spanish song. This lesson can be adapted for a current topic. The videos are included in the PPT. Hop into a movie with the ants from a' Bugs Life'

This is a useful little video that I have edited. It's from 'It&'s a bugs life ' The ants collect food and later celebrate . The video explores each aspect, the lifting, throwing, carrying, marching ,flying etc. I&';m using it for movement, but you could use it for Harvest festival, literacy , poetry etc . We are using it in our mini beasts topic. Children can make props for their foraging. We drew fruit and cut it out. We staggered under the weight and deposited the 'fruit' on our 'mountain '

You will recognize this beautifully evocative piece of music immediately y 'It can be used in many ways-as a self running file with embedded music, its useful to have running as the children enter the hall for Assembly. There are questions and pointers to focus the children's attention to the music.. I have cut it to 3 minutes, but the file is programmed to run on a loop. It can be used in the day to soothe and calm. Sound will only be heard in slide mode,.
